WHAT'S YOUR HEADCANON ABOUT ELEVEN AND ROSE
I’ve never really put it into words before but it goes something like this:
Amy and Rory (or maybe even Clara and the kids, who knows) have wandered off -again- exploring the wonders of one of those huge alien markets. Miles long, thousands of people, with hundreds and hundreds of stalls and it’s almost overwhelming. They try to turn back, but they end up shoved out of the way, stumbling into a little alley. A flash in the corner of their eyes has them turning around quickly- ready for anything- to see a blonde girl in a dark leather jacket who wasn’t there five seconds ago.
Amy looks like she’s about to get defensive, but Rory asks if she’s ok, because he’s seen the look on her face before. The look of someone who has lost something that they loved, a friend, a family member, a lover. He might not have seen it on a alien planet before, but he’s a nurse. He’s trained to see that look, and help those who have it.
The woman stares at them blankly, before realisation dawns on her face. Reaching for the circular button in her hand, she shakes her head.
“No,” she smiles sadly. “I’ve gone too far. We’ve been monitoring the timelines- and I’m so, so sorry for your loss.”
Amy and Rory look confused- what loss?-, but before they can ask her anything, the Doctor swaggers into the alleyway they’ve found themselves in, bow tie slightly crooked.
He skids to a standstill as the girl looks up, and the look on his face is something they’ve never seen before, something that he normally hides until they’ve fallen asleep and he can remember.
The woman grins at him and waves, beginning to fade. Amy runs forward to help her, but Rory holds her back, knowing the Doctor knows.
Once the woman had vanished, Amy to the Doctor, shock on her face. Asking who she was without expecting an answer, she’s shocked when she gets one- even if it is a bit vague.
“That was Rose. An old- just an old friend.”
